Martha Ann Hazelwood

Mrs. Martha Ann Hazelwood, age 83, of the Flat Creek Community in Williamson County, TN, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021.  She was a native of Williamson County, TN and was a daughter of the late Sam Edward Jackson and Annie Lee Hartley Jackson.  Martha Ann was a homemaker and a member of Ash Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hazelwood was a graduate of the Class of 1956 from Bethesda High School and a long time member of the Flat Creek Community Club.  She was affectionately known as “Nanny” to her family whom she loved dearly, she enjoyed dancing and bluegrass music.  Mrs. Hazelwood always enjoyed trips to Cracker Barrel and Walking Horse Shows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Hazelwood, daughter, Donna Hazelwood Crabtree, grandson, Zachary Crabtree, and sisters, Pearl Jackson, Emilie Eley, and Mary Jane Allen.

Mrs. Hazelwood is survived by her son, Jackie (Valerie) Hazelwood of the Flat Creek Community; 5 grandchildren, Brad (Heather) Beard of Wartrace, TN, Chad Beard of Chapel Hill, TN, Ashley (Cody) Kimball of Chapel Hill, TN, Will (Onah) Hazelwood of Lewisburg, TN, Rebecca Crabtree of Columbia, TN; 5 great grandchildren, Anne Marie Beard, Harlee Anne Beard, Cole Kimball, Luke Kimball, and Wyatt Beard; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dr. Ross & Krystal Dawkins and members of Ash Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Visitation with the family will be from 4 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, April 9, 2021 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Rogers officiating.  Interment will follow in the Crutcher Cemetery in Williamson County, TN.

Active pallbearers will be Doug Hazelwood, Dennis Steele, Brent Steele, Will Trice, Roger Cathey, and Keith Roberson.  Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Neal, Calvin Glenn, and Dan Ford.
