Mr. Marvin A. Carlton, age 66, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Mr. Carlton was born in Nashville, Tennessee and was a son of the late John Anderson and Clatie Pearl Armstrong Carlton. He was a professional carpenter, truck driver and worked in the construction industry. Mr. Carlton was a member of the Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lisa Bogan and a grandson, Cody Carlton.
Mr. Carlton is survived by his sons, Bubba (Betty) Carlton, Laws Hill Comm., Dewayne (Suzy) Carlton, Shelbyville, TN, Kevin Heath (Kim) Carlton, Laws Hill Comm.; beloved companion, Mary Ann Anderson, Lewisburg, TN; sisters, Mary Dean (Richard) Foster, Hobbs NM, Donna (Dennis) Hamlin, Houston, TX; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Family members will receive friends on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Marvin B. Carlton officiating. Burial will follow in Carlton Cemetery near Murfreesboro, TN.
Josh Carlton, Matthew Carlton, Tristan Carlton, Dylan Carlton, Ashleigh Carlton, T. J. Carlton, Chuck Lentz and Lindsey Wingate will serve as pallbearers.
