Mary Elizabeth "Sis" Crafton Hartley

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth “Sis” Crafton Hartley, age 95, of the Cross Keys Community in Williamson County, TN, went to be with Jesus when he took her hand and lead her into her Heavenly home on Monday, December 4, 2023.  She was born in Williamson County, TN and was a daughter of the late William Lee Crafton and Stella May White Crafton.  She worshipped at Oak Valley Baptist Church and later at Bethesda Presbyterian Church.  Sis was a homemaker and graduated as Valedictorian at Bethesda High School Class of 1947.    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sidney Hartley, grandchildren, James Michael Anderton & Judith Mai Anderton, brothers, William Frank “Booster” Crafton & James Harry Crafton, and sister, Josie Frances Crafton Cooper.

Mrs. Hartley loved being outside gardening and raising flowers.  She enjoyed sewing clothes, cooking meals, and had a passion for reading her Bible.  She spent her lifetime writing in her journals.  Her favorite show was Wheel of Fortune.  Most of all she loved her family and being with them.

Mrs. Hartley is survived by her children, Janice Mai Hartley (James) Anderton, of Franklin, TN, Kenneth Ray (Vicky) Hartley of the Cross Keys Community, Susan Lynn (Ricky) Hall of the Cross Keys Community; 9 grandchildren, Daniel Alan Fleming, Angelo Vincent (Skie) Amari, James Hunter (Kayleigh) Anderton, Kevin Ray Hartley, Michelle Lee (Jason) Robertson, James Lee Hall, Elizabeth Lynn (Dustin) Green, Heather Mai (Kaleb) Sexton, Cynthia Kay Hall; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; sister, Barbara Anne Adkisson of Nashville, TN.

Visitation with the family will be on Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home and on Friday, December 8, 2023 from 11 AM until 1 PM.  The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM on Friday, December 8, 2023 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Bishop officiating.  Interment will follow at the Hartley Cemetery in the Cross Keys Community in Williamson County, TN.
