Mary Hale

Ms. Mary Gladys Hale, age 87, of Shelbyville, TN, died Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in Murfreesboro, TN. Born in Bedford County, Mary Gladys was a daughter of the late Walter (Doc) Garrett and Maggie Pearl Hale. Ms. Hale was a lifelong member of Ray’s Chapel United Methodist Church where she served as the treasurer for many years. Before retiring, Mary Gladys worked as a realtor for various companies in Shelbyville, TN. In her spare time, she enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid gardener. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hale is preceded in death by her sister, Bettie Graham, and a brother-in-law, Joe Bowman.

Mary Gladys is survived by her sisters; Beelie Grissom of Murfreeboro, TN, Bessie (Glen) Fisher of Shelbyville, TN, Linda (Tom) Hall of Shelbyville, TN, Janie Bowman of Shelbyville, TN; brother-in-law, Dwight Graham of Manchester, TN; nieces, Terry Knight, Lisa Terry, Patti Graham, Beverly Conquest, Lori Bradshaw, Vicki Rich; nephew, Scott Hall; great-nieces, Tiffany Fuller-Phillips, Nicole Foshee, Laurel Rich, Piper Hall; great-nephews, Beau Brasher, Alex Phillips, Copper Rich, Preston Hall.

Graveside Services for Ms. Hale will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Cotheran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County with Vance Clay officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service. There will be no public visitation prior to the service.
