Mary Helen Fricks

Mrs. Mary Helen Fricks, age 90, of Chapel Hill, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 29, 2023, in Lewisburg, TN.  She was born in Macon, GA, and was a daughter of the late Dewey Mercer, Sr. and Mary Warnock Taylor.  Mrs. Helen was a retired owner of a drapery store and later became a homemaker.   She was a member of Grove Hill Church in Chapel Hill.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Vickie Maynard and Marvene "Georgia" Holmes, siblings, Robert Mercer, June Mercer Cole, Dewey "Johnny" Mercer, Jr., and Jack Taylor.

Mrs. Helen enjoyed sewing and art.  She loved her church family, singing old hymns, and watching old western movies.  Most of all, she loved her family and being with them and being involved with their activities. 

Mrs. Fricks is survived by her grandchildren, Lisa Parham, Forrest Maynard, Teacy Holmes, and Nathan Maynard; great grandchildren, Correy and Joshua Maynor, Rylan and Jayden Maynard, Waylon, Braylon, and Stevie Maynard, Killian and Kaemon Rodriguez; siblings, Buddy and Joyce Mercer, Edward Mercer, Danny and Diane Mercer, Mary and Phil Blevins, and Mike Taylor.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 1 PM until 3 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 3 PM on Friday, March 8, 2024 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral home.
