Mary Hurt

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth McBroom Hurt, age 71, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Friday, August 14, 2020 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Mrs. Hurt was born in Nashville and was a daughter of the late Leo and Beatrice Higgins McBroom. She was a caregiver and homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hurt was also preceded in death by her husband, Ben Allen Hurt, who died in 2000; a daughter, Sherry Lee Hurt and sister, Jean Kirby.

Mrs. Hurt is survived by her two daughters, Jennie Hurt, Chapel Hill, TN, Rachel “Tinker” Watson and husband, Clepper, Lewisburg, TN; sisters, Barbara Dotson, Springfield, TN, Marion Collier, Madison, TN, Tammy Peden, Madison, TN; brother, Clark McBroom and wife Donna, Hendersonville, TN; grandchildren, Ashley Tucker, Stephen Tucker, Rebecca Tucker, Brittney Watson, Taylor Harrison and wife, Brandin, Clay Watson; great grandchildren, Hope Tucker, William Carter, Westin Allen Harrison, River Harrison.

Family members will receive friends on Saturday, August 22, 2020 from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Hurt will follow at 12:00 noon on Saturday from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home.
