Mary Lynch

Mrs. Mary Ruth Rollins Lynch, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 25, 2021 at her home in Unionville surrounded by her family.

Mary Ruth was born in Cleveland, TN and was one of 14 children of the late Lon Crawford and Vina Pearl (Houston) Rollins. She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Thomas Howard Lynch. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary Ruth was also preceded in death by brothers, William, Earl, G.B., Houston, and infants, Crawford and Franklin Rollins; sisters, Lucille Davis, Nell Pyrdum, Bertie Mae Donegan, Peggy Campbell and Edith Fredrickson.

Mary Ruth was a member of North Fork Baptist Church where she taught a children’s Sunday School Class for many years. She held two jobs that she loved dearly, “Waitressing” at Unionville’s Doolittle Diner and later at the Chapel Hill Depot Café. She loved quilting, working in her flowers and getting “Papa” to decorate the yard and house with Christmas lights each year. In later years, they donated those light decorations to the Shelbyville H.G. Griffin Park.

Mrs. Lynch is survived by her sons, Bobby (Patsy) Lynch, Tommy Lynch and Jeff (Susan) Lynch, all of Unionville, TN; daughters, Sandra (Wayne) Neese, Winchester, TN, Vina (Skeet) Winstead, Eagleville, TN; sister, Juanita Pochlman; brother, Clyde Rollins; fifteen grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Visitation with family members will be Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Mike Bayne officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
