Mary Walls

Mrs. Mary “Ruth” Shelton Walls, age 91, of Rockvale, Tennessee, died Friday, February 26, 2016 at her home after several months illness. Mrs. Walls was born in Coffee County, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late John Wesley and Edith Jane Brown Shelton. She was a life long homemaker and a member of Patterson Baptist Church. Mrs. Walls was preceded in death by her husband, John Willie “J.W.” Walls, two sons, Wayne Walls and Chris Walls and by two grandsons, Steve Walls and John David Walls.

Mrs. Walls is survived by daughters, Barbara Carlton, Murfreesboro, TN, Carol Aradine, Murfreesboro, TN, Donna Underwood, Rockvale, TN, Diane Warren, Eagleville, TN; sons, David Walls, Rockvale, TN, James Walls, Eagleville, TN, Marvin Walls, Eagleville, TN, Eugene Walls, Eagleville, TN, Kenneth Walls, Readyville, TN, Mark Walls, Ringgold, GA; “13th child” Judy Stanley, Almaville, TN; sister, Christine Wilhoite, Winchester, TN; eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Monday, February 29, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Ben Martin and Rev. Kyle Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Ridge Cemetery in Rutherford County.

Wayne Walls, Jr., David Walls, Michael Walls, Quinton Walls, Marvin Walls and Craig Aradine will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lucas Warren, Matthew Walls, Brian Underwood, Brad Underwood, Troy Walls, Carman Walls, Travis Walls, J. R. Maynard, Derek Walls and Daniel Walls.
