Mr. Milton Gene Whaley, age 80, of the Farmington Community in Marshall County, TN, died Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Columbia, TN. He was a native of Marshall County, TN and a son of the late Milton Clyde Whaley and Mary Elizabeth Jones Whaley. Mr. Milton was a retired foreman for King Pipeline and was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed farming, his dogs, woodworking, gardening, but most importantly, he loved his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Sharp Whaley, daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Bubba Carlton, grandson, Cody A. Carlton, brothers, Glenn Whaley, Travis Whaley, Rufus Whaley, and sister, Macie Russell.
Mr. Whaley is survived by his children, Tammy (Charlie) Crosslin of Shelbyville, TN, Brian Whaley of the Wheel Community, Elizabeth (Jeff) Morris of Shelbyville, TN; 9 grandchildren, Josh Carlton, Michael Whaley, Matthew (Brianna) Carlton, Brianna (Daniel) Butler, Bryce Whaley, Cadence Whaley, Jayden Whaley, River Whaley, Richard Morris; great grandchild, Cody Carlton; sisters, Jenny Jett of Lewisburg, TN, Audrie Adams of Lewisburg, TN, Kathy Davis of Lewisburg, TN, Ceretha Pardee of Lewisburg, TN, Nancy Darnell of Eagleville, TN; brothers, Jesse Whaley of Lewisburg, TN and Calvin Whaley of Shelbyville, TN.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the Whaley Cemetery on Nashville Highway, Lewisburg, TN with Bro. Joe Hudson officiating. Interment will follow at Whaley Cemetery near Lewisburg, TN.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
