Nancy Olphie

Mrs. Nancy Elizabeth McClaran Olphie, age 92, of Nashville, TN, died Monday, November 7, 2016 in Nashville, TN.  Mrs. Olphie was a native of Rutherford County, TN and was a daughter of the late Aubrey D and Lucy Pearl Tomlin McClaran.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Protestant faith.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joe McClaran, Wayne McClaran, and B. F. McClaran.

Mrs. Olphie is survived by her daughters, Donna Tant of Franklin, TN, Johanna Choate of Pegram, TN, Susan (Danny) Warren of Madison, TN, Nancy (Jim) Powell of Brentwood, TN, Diane Daunis of Brentwood, TN, Deborah Olphie of Brentwood, TN, Sally Olphie of Nashville, TN; sons, Daniel John (Cynthia) Olphie, III, of Brentwood, TN, Ronald (Jing Ru) Olphie of Chicago, IL, Richard (Ann) Olphie of Valdosta, GA, Michael Olphie of Nashville, TN; sisters, Ruth Ann Kelly of Mt. Juliet, TN, Imogene Wood of Bloomington, IN, Barbara June Matthaei of Eagleville, TN; brother, Jack McClaran of Mill Close, England; 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and many loved nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 9 AM until 11 AM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Jobe officiating.  Interment will follow in Rocky Glade Cemetery near Eagleville, TN.

John Choate, Kenneth Choate, Daniel Olphie IV, David Spence Hobson, Matthew Powell, Lawrence Clifton Tant, Jr., and Patrick Olphie Daunis will serve as pallbearers.
