Mrs. Nancy Stem, age 87, of Unionville, TN, died Tuesday, March 2, 2021. She was born in Rutherford County, TN and was a daughter of the late Richard Andrew Robinson and Carrie Mae (Helton) Robinson. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Nancy was able to do what she loved more than anything; babysit children. Mrs. Stem was affectionately known as “Mammie” by all of the children she had a hand in raising, including her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Stem, brothers, Richard, Sam, Sherman, John, Lee, and Jonas Robinson, sisters, Mary Lokey, Pearl Ghee, Louise Sogge, and Martha Fox.
Mrs. Stem is survived by her loving children, Shirley Stem of Unionville, TN and Carol (Rick) Turner of Sewanee, TN; siblings, Ellen Albro of Mesa, AZ, Willie Frances Raymond of Tucson AZ, Tommy Robinson of Murfreesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Donald Smotherman, Jessica Smotherman, Chelsey (Kevin) Lenhart, Christopher Witsell, and six great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be from 10 AM until 11 AM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Cothran Cemetery. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 AM on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Cothran Cemetery with Bro. Roy Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community in Bedford County, TN.
