Mrs. Nelda Ann Taylor Langham, age 76, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at her home in Lewisburg. Mrs. Langham was born in Davidson County, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late James Hershel and Violet Kail Taylor. She was a homemaker and “Mama Nell” to many children over the years. Mrs. Langham was a long time member of the First Assembly of God in Lewisburg and served as the church secretary for 35 years. She also was the bookkeeper for Hooper Tire and Auto of Chapel Hill for 22 years.
Mrs. Langham is survived by her husband of 59 years, J. D. Langham, Lewisburg, TN; daughter, Shelia (Jerry) Hooper, Lewisburg, TN; son, Doyle “Bubba” (Janie) Langham, Lewisburg, TN; granddaughters, Kayla (Adam) Goodwin and Danielle (Cory) Beckman, both of Chapel Hill, TN; great grandchildren, Kayden Smith and Malia Goodwin; sisters, Wilma (Doyle) Gattis, Joyce (Brent) Smith, both of Lewisburg, TN; brothers, Randy (Debbie) Taylor, Pulaski, TN, Troy (Debbie) Taylor, Shelbyville, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Family members will receive friends on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Saturday, September 9, 2017 for 10:00 am until 11:00 am with funeral services being conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Don McCullough and Rev. Shawn Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Wheel Cemetery in the Wheel Community of Bedford County.
