Nell Wilson

Mrs. Nell Shaw Wilson, age 84, of College Grove, Tennessee, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Franklin, Tennessee. Mrs. Wilson was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late James and Mable Thompson Shaw. She was a member of College Grove United Methodist Church and was a retired banker, having worked at both College Grove and Franklin banks. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Wilson, who died in 2009; a son, Joe Wilson, and a sister, Elynor Bellenfant.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by sons, Jerry “Jeddy” Wilson, Jr., College Grove, TN, Jim (Lisa) Wilson, Franklin, TN; sister, Jimmye Lou Smith, Tullahoma, TN; grandchildren, Cale (Rachel) Wilson, Kayla Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Erica Leathers, JoJo (Kayla) Wilson, Jared Wilson; great grandchildren, Eli Leathers and Cooper Wilson; godchild, Phoebe Fly Smith.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Visitation will also be Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 10:00 until 11:00 am at College Grove United Methodist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the Church with Rev. Ed Coy and Rev. Todd Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in College Grove Cemetery.

Cale Wilson, Jacob Wilson, JoJo Wilson, Jared Wilson, Keith Bilbrey, Cody Scott and Eli Leathers will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Forrest High School Class of 1950 members, her Sunday School Class at College Grove United Methodist Church, Geralyn Kras, Kent Morgan, Jimmy Ogilvie, Debbie White, Connie Gunnells, Wyatt Smith, Claudia Flippen, and Cathy Davis.
