Nora Carlton

Mrs. Nora Bee Doggett Carlton, age 93, of the Chapel Hill, TN, died Monday, December 23, 2013 in Murfreesboro, TN. She was a native of Marshall County and a daughter of the late Otha and Madie Casteel Doggett. Mrs. Carlton was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from Henry Horton State Park. She also worked for Forrest School in the Food Service Dept. and was a former Manager of the Chapel Hill Senior Citizens. Mrs. Carlton was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Carlton, who died in 1983, her sons, Joe, Jimmy, and Richard Carlton and her brother, Robert Doggett.
Survivors include her daughter, Shannon Carlton Brown, of Chapel Hill, TN; niece, Dorothy Doggett; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 27, 2013 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 28, 2013 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Medium Cemetery in Petersburg, TN.
