Mrs. Nora Mae Crick, age 93, a long time resident of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Wednesday evening, September 24, 2014 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Crick was born in Rutherford County and was a daughter of the late Horace Greeley and Alice Virginia Smotherman. She was a homemaker, and in 1974, retired from General Electric Company in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Crick was a life long member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in the Rover Community. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, William Horace Crick, who died in 2001; son, Larry Wayne Crick; son-in-law, Thomas Alvin Hamm; sisters, Lois Elizabeth Westbrooks and Mary Lou Smotherman; brothers, Jesse B. Smotherman, William Clay Smotherman, Horace Palmer Smotherman, Ellis Franklin Smotherman; and a special family friend, Franklin Blanton.

Mrs. Crick is survived by her children, Vivian Marie Hamm (Edley) Prince, Estillfork, AL, James W. (Gloria) Crick, Wartrace, TN, Teresa Jane (Mike) Walker, Smyrna, TN; grandchildren, Terri Lynch, Cindy Mooneyhan, Karen Card, Michael Hamm, Laura Neal, Carol Stout, Lee Walker and Brett Walker; eight step-grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; eighteen step-great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one step-great great grandchild.

Family members will receive friends on Monday, September 29, 2014 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Scotty Sorrells officiating. Visitation on Tuesday will be one hour prior to services. Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community.

Michael Hamm, Donnie Card, Lee Walker, Brett Walker, Christopher Mooneyhan, Jason Stout and Larry Lynch will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Carroll Blanton and Steve Carlton.
