Oscar Neill

Mr. Oscar Neill, age 86, of Collierville, TN, formerly of the Caney Spring Community in Marshall County, TN, died on Monday, April 7, 2025, in Collierville, TN. He was a native of Marshall County, TN and a son of the late Bivens Ogilvie Neill and Sara James Allen Neill. Mr. Neill was a member of the Methodist Church and a graduate of the Forrest High School Class of 1956. Mr. Oscar was a career military officer, who served our country in the United States Air Force and achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Frances Neill, sisters, Eddie Frances Kilpatrick and Marilyn Vaughn.

Mr. Oscar loved the game of golf. He enjoyed playing cards with his friends and family. He had a passion for gardening and raising roses. He enjoyed cattle over the years on the farm. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed life with them, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Neill is survived by his children, Amanda (Paul) Mink of Sykesville, MD, Amelia (Deron) Myers of Collierville, TN, Alana (Damian) Roberts of Lebanon, TN; 3 grandchildren, Nathan Allen Myers, Benjamin Caleb Myers, Emma Roberts; sister, Ludell Coffey of Knoxville, TN; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be from 12 Noon until 2 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 PM on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Derryberry and Deron Myers officiating. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County, TN.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
