Patricia "Peggy" Augustine

Mrs. Patricia “Peggy” McPeak Augustine, age 75, of College Grove, TN passed away December 16, 2023 at her residence.   Peggy was born in Wythe County, VA, and a daughter of the late Jesse Lee McPeak and Gladys Gray Rose McPeak.  She worked as a book editor for the United Methodist Publishing House.  Peggy a member of College Grove Methodist Church, College Grove Fifty Forward, and the College Grove Senior Citizen Book Club.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Augustine in 1986, and her siblings, Joyce, Gayle, and Staley.

Peggy enjoyed reading books and teaching children’s sermons.  She had a passion for spending time with her friends and drinking coffee.  She loved collecting Christmas villages.   Her favorite thing was spending time with her family.

Mrs. Augustine is survived by her children, Jackson (Elizabeth) Augustine of Unionville, TN, Charlie (Janna) Augustine of Lewisburg, TN; 5 grandchildren, John (Abby) Augustine, Will Augustine, Tyler Augustine, Makenzie Augustine, Jasper Green; 2 sisters, Ruth Sizemore of Galax, VA and Wanda Little of New York.

Visitation for the family and friends will be on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 9 AM until 11 AM at College Grove Methodist Church and a Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 11 AM at College Grove Methodist Church.
