Patsy Smith

Mrs. Patsy Ruth Anderson Smith, age 80, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Saturday, October 24, 2020 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Mrs. Smith was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Wendell and Pearl Mizer Patton Anderson. She was a homemaker and formerly was employed with Luby’s Cafeteria in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Smith was a member of Rover Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Hubert Wayne Smith, who died in 1984, and a daughter, Mary Annette Smith, who died in 2001.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, James Cecil Smith, Rover Community of Bedford County; granddaughter, Cassie Leeanne (Jeremy) Hill, Shelbyville, TN; great granddaughter, Savannah Grace Hill, Shelbyville, TN; sister, Cora Stem, Shelbyville, TN; brother, James Anderson, Murfreesboro, TN.

Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 from 11:00 am until 1:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Bullington officiating. Burial will follow in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
