Peggy Scott

Mrs. Peggy Scott, age 81, of the Laws Hill Community of Marshall County, TN, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was born in Maury County, TN to Nat Baxter Phillips and Evie Minnie Brady Phillips. Mrs. Peggy was a homemaker and attended the Church of God. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Scott, Jr., a son, Danny Wayne Scott, a granddaughter, Tiffany Pineda, brother, Wilburn Phillips, and sisters, Marie Waddey and Lorene Scott.

Mrs. Peggy loved spending time with her family and going on trips to the mountains and the beach. She loved flowers of all kinds. She truly enjoyed listening to music by Elvis, working crossword puzzles, and cooking fried pies.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her children, Becky (Ricky) Black of the Laws Hill Community, Tony (Connie) Scott of Section, AL, Evie Clark of Pulaski, TN, Shelia (Terry) Burgess of Lewisburg, TN, Nathan (Annie) Scott of the Laws Hill Community; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; honorary grandchildren, Kiana and Dexter; special grandchildren, Ethan and Gabriel Scott; special great grandchild, Messiah Pineda

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 11 am to 1 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Randy Wooden officiating. Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill, TN.

Ethan Scott, Gabriel Scott, Aaron Nunley, Alan Cooper, Mark Wright, Shawnee Marlow, and Heath Nunley will serve as pallbearers.
