Philip G. King, died November 3, 2013 in Cebu, Philippines, his favorite place, his paradise. He was born in 1945 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to Charlie B. and Velma King, the youngest of their nine children. He is survived by his brothers, Richard, Charlie, Bob and David, his sister, Charlotte, his children and grandchildren…. and forever in our hearts, his brothers Ed, Joe and Paul, and his Mama and Daddy – Ma and Pa King.
Phil became a member of the Army Special Forces unit in 1963 and remained dedicated to the SFA throughout his life. He is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family members will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will be in King-Cook Cemetery near Murfreesboro, TN.
