Philip Knight

Philip Anthony Knight, age 48, of Rockvale, Tennessee, was born on July 24th, 1969, in Atlanta, Georgia, the second son born to Robert L. Knight and Linda Cary Knight. He passed from this life to the next on June 10th, 2018, at the Alive Hospice unit Murfreesboro. In his last months, he was ably cared for by the in-home staff, and then finally, by the wonderful and caring nurses in the Hospice Unit.

Philip is survived by his brothers, Kevin Montgomery Knight, of Tucker Georgia, and Robert Knight, of Athens, Georgia. Also, he is survived by his stepfather, Rev. Scott Yates, of Rockvale, Tennessee, who was honored to call him son.

He was an ordained elder in Union Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and loved the people with all his heart.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill.  A Celebration of the Life of Philip will follow at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home.
