Mr. Ray H. Haynes, age 79, of Unionville, Tennessee, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Haynes was a son of the late Charlie Franklin and Nannie Cook Haynes. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Haynes, grandson, Rob Jarrell, and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Haynes served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired after 30 years as a maintenance supervisor for the Bedford County School System which allowed him to spend more time farming and fishing.

Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances A. Haynes, Unionville, TN; daughters, Charlotte Haynes Crowder, Unionville, TN, Helen N. (Robert) Jarrell, Unionville, TN; sisters, Faye Duke, Shelbyville, TN, Linda Smotherman, Lewisburg, TN; brother, Hoyle (Martha) Haynes, Wartrace, TN; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jeff) Barnes, Judith (Daniel) VanWinkle, Rachel E. Haynes, Josie Jarrell, Devon Crowder, Holly Crowder, Seth Crowder; great grandchildren, Ellie VanWinkle, Oliver Ray VanWinkle, Phoenix Barnes, Presley Barnes, Lincoln Barnes.

Family members will receive friends on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Loyd Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Hopper Cemetery near Chapel Hill.

Devon Crowder, Seth Crowder, Jeff Duke, Ricky Haynes, Tommy Haynes, Dennis Harden, Robert Jarrell, Joe Milligan will serve as pallbearers.
