Raymond Crick

Mr. Raymond Kearney Crick, age 88, formerly of the Verona Community of Marshall County, died Thursday evening, December 27, 2012 at the home of his son in Jacksonville, Florida.  Mr. Crick was born in Bedford County and was a son of the late Edgar Wade and Emma Frances Lamb Crick.  He was retired after 40 years of service from Genesco, Inc. of Lewisburg and was a member of the United Methodist Church. Mr. Crick was preceded in death by sisters, Ruby Brown, M.E. Giles, Mary B. Cooper, Christine Boyd, Ethel Crick and Edith Crick and by brothers, Fred Crick and Roy Crick.

Mr. Crick is survived by his wife of 66 years, Hilda Crick, formerly of the Verona Comm.; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lori Crick, Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Jason (Maria) Crick, Grand Junction, CO, Jennifer (Chris) Kipphut, London, England; step-grandson, Joe Hughes, Jacksonville, FL; great grandson, Steven Crick, Grand Junction, CO; three step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 31, 2012 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Giles officiating.  Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
