Mr. Richard Hoover, age 53, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died Thursday, February 26, 2015 in Chapel Hill. Mr. Hoover was born in Phoenix, Arizona and was an employee of Wal-Mart of Lewisburg. Richard was also a culinary chef. He was a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church and the Chapel Hill Lions Club. He served for many years as the Secretary of the Chapel Hill Men’s Club.

Mr. Hoover is survived by his mother, Lynne Bates Lawrence, Chapel Hill, TN; sister-in-law, Lisa Hoover, MS; brother, Vic Mann, Jr., Olive Branch, MS; aunt, Sheila Harris, Memphis, TN; nieces, Jennifer Sheppard, Alexis Mann, Rowan Hart; nephews, Ricky Dean Hoover, Dylan Craft, Dakota Hoover, Hayden Mann, Landon Mann; honorary brother, Andy Karpinski, Chapel Hill, TN.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service for Richard will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Hendricks officiating. Committal services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the mausoleum chapel of Memorial Park Memorial Gardens in Memphis, Tennessee. Entombment will follow in the Memorial Park mausoleum.

Tommy Lawrence, Andy Karpinski, James Garvin, Harold Blalock and Chris Gilbert will serve as honorary pallbearers. In Lieu of Flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Nashville Rescue Mission, 639 Lafayette St., Nashville, TN 37203-4226 or www.nashvillerescuemission.org.
