Mr. Richard McCoy Kilpatrick, Sr., age 90, of Lewisburg, TN, died on Friday, January 31, 2025, in Lewisburg, TN. He was a native of Linden, TN and a son of the late Andy Kilpatrick and Jessie Ary Kilpatrick Hunter. Mr. Kilpatrick was a lifelong farmer and a member of Caney Spring United Methodist Church. He was a Veteran and served our country in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Mrs. Eddie Frances Kilpatrick, and brothers, John, Mack, and Billy Don Kilpatrick.
Mr. Coy loved hunting and fishing. He had a great passion for farming, his dairy cattle and raising crops. One of his claims to fame was being the first All State Basketball player from Perry County. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed life with them, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr. Kilpatrick is survived by his children, Andrea (Bob) Klaren of the Caney Spring Community, Rick (Joy) Kilpatrick of Lewisburg, TN, Allen (Donna) Kilpatrick of Brentwood, TN, Frank (Tracy) Kilpatrick of Lewisburg, TN; 10 grandchildren, Bo (Katie) Klaren, Kody (Emily) Klaren, Tyler (Brittney) Klaren, Sara Kilpatrick, Krystina Hopkins, Ryan Kilpatrick, Ereann (Nick) Kilpatrick Oberle, Cameron (Andrea) Kilpatrick, Dylan (Marie) Kilpatrick, Jesse Kilpatrick (Cheyanne Cooksey), 16 great grandchildren, Rowen, Grayton, Hadlynn, Lindon, Langston, & Augusta Klaren, Avery & Ivy Klaren, Lexi Rowland, Hayden & Layla Sanders, Oliver Oberle, Amelia & Cruz Kilpatrick, Cooper & Anna Camryn Kilpatrick; brother, Gene Kilpatrick of Hohenwald, TN, sister-in-law, Ludell Coffey of Knoxville, TN; brothers-in-law, Billy Vaughn of Caney Spring Community and Oscar Neill of Collierville, TN; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom he cherished deeply.
Visitation with the family will be from 11 AM until 1 PM on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be conducted at 1 PM on Monday, February 3, 2025 from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Holton, David Fagan, and John Burrows officiating. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County, TN.
Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
