Richard King

Mr. Richard King, age 84, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, died Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home after an extended illness. Mr. King was born in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Charlie Bryan and Velma Lee McElhaney King. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. King was a retired supervisor having retired from Better Built Aluminum of Murfreesboro, TN. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Wanda Louise Soloman King, who died on March 14, 2016, a son, Ricky King and a daughter, Pamela Jo (PJ) Fletcher.

Mr. King is survived by his daughter, Debra Willis, Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Charlotte Ralston, Eagleville, TN; brothers, Charlie King, Eagleville, TN, Bob King, Chapel Hill, TN, David King, Niota, TN; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016 at King-Cook Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016 at King-Cook Cemetery with Stan Butt officiating. Burial will follow in King-Cook Cemetery.
