Robert Adgent

Robert Boyd Adgent, Captain USN-Retired, 88, of Brentwood, TN passed away Tuesday March 7th, 2023. A Middle Tennessee native, Bob was born October 30,1934 in Bedford County. He was a graduate of The University of the South at Sewanee, and received his Master’s Degree at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California. He served 27 years with the United States Navy. After retiring from the USN, Bob became City Manager of Brentwood and then Director of Planning and Development for Williamson County. Bob is preceded in death by his father Paul L. Adgent, mother Ruby Tucker Adgent and brother James Donald Adgent. Bob is survived by his wife Jane Bethune Adgent, his daughter Jennifer Crace, his two grandchildren Sarah and Paul Crace and his great grandson David Pitts. A Memorial service will be held at St. Paul Fellowship Church, 4432 Hwy 41 A, North, Rover community of Bedford Co. on March 18, 2023 at 11AM.
