Robert Chumbley

Mr. Robert Paul Chumbley, age 55, of the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021 in Columbia, TN. Born in Lewisburg, TN, Robert was a son of the late Ronnie D. Chumbley, who passed in 2013, and Melba Brannon McDaniel who survives. Mr. Chumbley served his country in the United States Army and was the owner of K&R Trucking. Robert served as a board member of the National Spotted Saddle Horse Association, and in his spare time, he enjoyed riding and showing horses, hunting, fishing, and making sure he never missed one of his children’s or grandchildren’s sporting events. In addition to his father, Mr. Chumbley is preceded in death by his step-mother, Denise Chumbley, sister, Vivian Allen, niece, Jessica Ashworth, and a nephew, Jeremy Ashworth.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Kathy Chumbley of the Caney Spring Community; children, Tricia Chumbley of Lewisburg, TN, Kasey Chumbley of Lewisburg, TN,  Benjamin Chumbley of Lewisburg, TN, Niki Chumbley of the Caney Spring Community; grandchildren, Prailey England, Avery Childress, and Jace Russell; mother, Melba McDaniel of the Caney Spring Community; brothers, Wade(Elizabeth) Chumbley of Lewisburg, TN, Matthew Chumbley of Murfreesboro, TN, Jamie Allen McDaniel of the Caney Spring Community, John M. Cherry of Kentucky; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family members will receive friends on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Graveside Services for Mr. Chumbley will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 2:00 at Allen Cemetery in the Caney Spring Community of Marshall County with Reverend Larry Chatman officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service.
