Mr. Robert “Bob” Lauderdale, age 77, of Shelbyville, Tennessee, died Friday evening, January 22, 2021 at his home in Shelbyville.
Mr. Lauderdale was born in Cullman, Alabama and was of the Baptist Faith. He served his Country as a Sargent in the United States Army and was a retired plumber with Paul Hasting Plumbing in Brentwood, Tennessee. Mr. Lauderdale was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Frances Summerford Lauderdale; wife, Mary Lauderdale, who died in 1994, and by a son, Webb Sharp.
Bob’s passion was for the outdoors and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. For several years, he was the proprietor of Fisherman’s Resort Fish Camp at Joe Wheeler Lake in Alabama.
Mr. Lauderdale is survived by daughters, Kay Allen, Lewisburg, TN, Carolyn Camacho, Shelbyville, TN, Shirley Cook, Shelbyville, TN, Nancy Baker, Shelbyville, TN, Mary Childers, Shelbyville, TN; sons, Ronnie Sharp, Chapel Hill, TN, Terry Sharp, Unionville, TN, Steve Sharp, Shelbyville, TN; 28 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; cousin, William Drinkard, Birmingham, Alabama.
Family members will receive friends on Tuesday, January 26, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Simpson Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County.
