Robert L. "Bob" Whitaker

Mr. Robert L. “Bob” Whitaker, age 83, of Unionville, TN, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his 4 children.  He was born in Maury County, TN to the late Robert Floyd and Ina Lee Fox Whitaker.  Mr. Whitaker was a sign painter, a member of Eagleville United Methodist Church, and served our country in the United States Army.   Bob was a graduate of Columbia Central High School and was a member of the Western Style Square Dancers for over 30 years.  Mr. Whitaker along with his wife, Lois, enjoyed refurbishing homes and loved to travel together after retirement including cruises and trips around the country.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Prince Whitaker, in 2019.

Mr. Whitaker is survived by his children, Crystal (Martin) Rodriguez of Panama City Beach, FL, Starlene (David) Williams of Knoxville, TN, Kyle (Tina) Whitaker of Mt. Juliet, TN, Sparkle (Joe) Tufano of Murfreesboro, TN; 15 grandchildren, Ariana, Kendrick, Danielle, Beau, Fiona, Cole, Aoife, Liam, Carson, Ariel, Hannah, Leia, Tristan, Matthew, and Nathanial; sisters, Mary Alice Hall of Leoma, TN, Marjorie (William) Burns of Columbia, TN; brothers, Randall Whitaker of Williamsport, TN, Clifford (Gail) Whitaker of Lewisburg, TN, and Calvin (Eleanor) Whitaker of Dickson, TN.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  The graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Rock Springs Cemetery in Maury County, TN with Rev. Brad Demonbreun, Rev. Jack Gilbert, and Rev. Nan Zoller officiating.  Interment will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery.
