Ronald E. Smith

Mr. Ronald E. Smith, age 77, of Rockvale, TN passed away October 31, 2023, at his residence.   Ronnie was born in Bedford County, TN and a son of the late Henry Eugene Smith and Ethel Ruth Bellenfant Smith.  Mr. Smith was a member of Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church.   He was retired from TN Vocational Rehab as a counselor for over 41 years.  Ronnie proudly served our country in the United States Army and the TN National Guard.

Mr. Ronnie loved praising God and singing.  He had a passion for racing.  His true love was spending time with his family and his dog, Wybee, and his grand dog, Roscoe.

Mr. Smith is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mrs. Carol Smith of Rockvale, TN; children, Ronald E. (Quana) Smith, II of Shelbyville, TN, Ronda Smith (Jimmy) McGeorge of Murfreesboro, TN; 3 grandchildren, Luke Dickson, Elijah Smith and Bentley Smith; brothers, Kenneth (Linda) Smith of Bell Buckle, TN, Tim Smith of Rockvale, TN; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8769 Rockvale Road, Rockvale, TN, with Bro. Jonathon Watson officiating.  Interment will follow at Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community of Bedford County, TN.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
