Mr. Ruben Edward Sanchez, age 63, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016. Born in Los Angeles, CA, Mr. Sanchez was a son of the late Nabor Sanchez and Carmen Guerrero Sanchez. He was a former drill press operator. Loved by all who knew him, Ruben was an honorary Captain of the Eagleville Volunteer Fire Dept. Since childhood he was very active in Special Olympics and for several years served as an usher and greeter at his church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Petzold and a brother, Raymond Porraz.
Survived by 6 sisters; Naomi Garcia of Monrovia, CA, Helen Sanchez of Chapel Hill, TN, Maria De Chantal of Carlsbad, CA, Josie Porraz of Pasadena, CA, Vicki Ratzlast of Happey Valley, OR and Gloria Curley of Claremont, CA; a brother, Joe Porraz of Ontario, CA. Also survived by many nephews and nieces and many friends who are in the circle of family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 6PM, Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in California.
