Mrs. Rubye Jean Jarrell, age 82, of Eagleville, Tennessee, died Sunday, March 20, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mrs. Jarrell was born in Bell Buckle, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Curtis Arthur and Daisy Blanche Hoover Cook. She was a homemaker, retired bookkeeper and was a member of the Eagleville Church of Christ. Until the death of her husband, R. B. “Bob” Jarrell, who died in 2001, both were very involved in the cattle business. Mrs. Jarrell was a member of the Tennessee Polled Herford Association, Beef Agribition and was a member of the Poll-Ettes. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Kelley Jarrell and a brother, Curtis Cook.
Mrs. Jarrell is survived by her daughter, Kay Jarrell Ash, Eagleville, TN; grandchildren, Joseph Ash, Nashville, TN and Christina Ash, Knoxville, TN; brother, Charles Cooke, Bell Buckle, TN.
Family members will receive friends on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Jarrell Family Cemetery near Chapel Hill.
