Sammy Ralston

Mr. Sammy W. Ralston, age 91, of Chapel Hill, TN, died Monday, September 2, 2019 in Lewisburg, TN.  He was born in Rutherford County, TN, and was a son of the late Andrew Monroe and Fannie Taylor Ralston.  Mr. Ralston was a member of the Riggs Church of Christ and was a longtime farmer and retired from R & R Delivery and Freight.  He was an Alumni of Forrest High School and served as Chairman for the Marshall County Water Board in years past.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jim Ralston, Bill Ralston, Frances Richards, Matilda Davis, Monroe “Doc” Ralston, and Ivie Cromer.

Mr. Ralston is survived by his wife of 70 years, Margaret Dalton Ralston, daughter, Linda (Rodney) Simmons of Chapel Hill, TN, grandsons, Brad (Laura) Simmons of Chapel Hill, TN, Brian (Brandy) Simmons of Unionville, TN, great grandchildren, Mason Simmons, Victoria Simmons, Andrew Simmons, and Liam Simmons.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 1 PM from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Russell Wyatt and Jimmy Carver officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Bedford County, TN.
