Sara Waggoner

Mrs. Sara Waggoner, age 81, of College Grove, TN, died Sunday, February 26, 2023 in Nashville, TN.  She was born in Williamson County, TN and was a daughter of the late Samuel Mart Owens and Jenny Mai Martin Owens.  Mrs. Sara was a homemaker and a member of the Nazarene Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Van Herbert Waggoner, who died in 1984, a sister, Shelby Jean Beard, and brothers, Thomas Owens, William Owens, and Walter Owens.

Mrs. Sara loved shopping and being silly by providing humor to everyone.  Most of all, she loved her family and being involved in their activities.

Mrs. Waggoner is survived by her children, Daryl (Kim) Waggoner of the Bethesda Community, Randy (Mary Lou) Mitchell of the Leiper’s Fork Community, Tammy (Kenneth) Ragsdale of the Flat Creek Community, Tracey (Joe) Bennett of Unionville, TN, Chad Beard of the Bethesda Community; 10 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother, James (Sue) Owens of Franklin, TN.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 608 Mt. Hope Street, Franklin, TN.  Interment will follow the service.
