Sheri Howes

Mrs. Sharon Lynn “Sheri” Howes, age 81, of Shelbyville, TN passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2024 at her residence. She was a native of Monrovia, CA and was a daughter of the late Ora Austin Remond and Elanor Lois Feight Remond. Mrs. Sheri was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Shelbyville, TN and a homemaker after retiring from 30 years as a waitress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Claude Howes, a daughter, Laurie Mohrfeld, a son, John Cox, a step-son, Harry Howes, Jr., and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Sheri enjoyed reading. She truly had a passion for her church family and participating in church activities. Most of all, she loved talking with her family and friends and sharing time with them. 

Mrs. Howes is survived by her 3 grandchildren, Cassie Strahan of Thornton, CO,  Bridget Mohrfeld of Des Moines, IA, Michael Cox of Chico, CA; 5 great grandchildren, Valouria, Lincoln, Phoenix, Kase and Blair; step-children, Rick (Tina) Howes of Lewisburg, TN, Michelle Howes of FL; and grandchildren; her best friends, Beverly Pierce, and Lisa & Dean Myhand.

There will be a graveside service at 1 PM on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg, TN with Pastor Andy Keffer officiating. Interment will follow the service.
