Shirley Armstrong

Mrs. Shirley Armstrong, age 85, of College Grove, Tennessee, died Friday evening, August 7, 2020 in Eagleville, Tennessee. Mrs. Armstrong was born in Guthrie, Kentucky and was a daughter of the late James Overton and Ida Mae Murphy Boyer. She was a homemaker and a member of the College Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Armstrong was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kendrick Armstrong, who died in 2004.

Mrs. Armstrong is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Armstrong Lamb, Spring Hill, TN, Andrea Armstrong Martin, Eagleville, TN, Laurie Armstrong Reed, Murfreesboro, TN; son, Howard Armstrong, Eagleville, TN; sisters, Juanita Morgan, Guthrie KY, Dorothy Biggar, Clarksville, TN; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Monday, August 10, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home. Burial will follow in College Grove Cemetery.

Grandson and great grandson will serve as pallbearers.
