Shirley Whaley

Mrs. Shirley Ann Sheppard Whaley, age 67, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, died Wednesday morning, October 28, 2015 in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Mrs. Whaley was born in Marshall County and was a daughter of the late Harry Edward and Annie Lee Perryman Sheppard. She was a homemaker and a member of Farmington United Methodist Church. Mrs. Whaley was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Glenn Whaley, who died in July of 2014.

Mrs. Whaley is survived by two daughters, Carol Ann (Joe) Hudson, Lewisburg, TN, Mary Mathis, Lewisburg, TN; brother, Phil (Avis) Sheppard, Deason Community of Bedford County; grandchildren, Jordan Hudson, Jacob Hudson, Sarah Burgess, Savannah Burgess, Shaun Burgess, Abigail Mathis; step-grandchildren, Ashley Burgess, Alicia Cox, Bill Mathis, Jr., Austin Mathis; great grandchildren, Julianna Burgess, Holder Hudson; several nieces and nephews.

Family members will receive friends on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Don McCullough and Rev. Leland Carden officiating. Burial will follow in Whaley Cemetery in the Farmington Community of Marshall County.

Phil Sheppard, Jordan Hudson, Jacob Hudson, Preston Perryman, David Perryman, Shaun Burgess, Henry George and Stanley Bivins will serve as pallbearers.
