Mr. Malcolm Hazelwood, age 84, of the Flat Creek Community, died on Monday, April 27, 2020, in Franklin, TN. Mr. Hazelwood was a native of Williamson County, TN, and a son of the late Joe Will Hazelwood, Sr. and Minnie Alta Crutcher Hazelwood. Mr. Malcolm was retired from the Williamson County Highway Department. He was a member of the Ash Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, then as an Elder. Malcolm loved his family, farming, and his John Deere tractor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Hazelwood, Lillian Hazelwood, and Faye King, his brothers, J. W., Jr. “Bubba”, Donald, Hugh Edward “Coon” and Bill Hazelwood.
Mr. Hazelwood is survived by his wife of 63 years, Dodie Hazelwood of the Flat Creek Community; children, Tommy “Red” (Sonja) Hazelwood of White House, TN, Doug Hazelwood of the Flat Creek Community, and Sharlene Hazelwood of the Flat Creek Community; 3 grandchildren, Timmy Hazelwood, Casey (Ashley) Paris, Josh Hazelwood; 3 great grandchildren; sisters, Irene (Morris) Williams of Unionville, TN, and Annie Lee Neal of the Flat Creek Community; and many nieces and nephews.
Due to the current Coronavirus health crisis there will be no public visitation. Private graveside services will be conducted at the Crutcher Cemetery in Williamson County, TN with Jayne Hornburger and Rev. Steve Rogers officiating. Family members certainly want you to consider your own health. Please know that online tributes through the funeral home website are equally appreciated.
