Mr. Timmy Copeland, age 68, of Chapel Hill, Tennessee, died on Monday, April 19, 2021 in Franklin, Tennessee.
Mr. Copeland was born in Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee and was a son of the late Charlie Lee and “Sister” Copeland. In addition to his parents, Timmy was also preceded in death by a brother, Danny Copeland. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School, attended Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN and graduated from Trevecca University in Nashville, TN. Mr. Copeland was a member of Dry Creek United Methodist Church in Mt. Pleasant.
Timmy was very active in the Chapel Hill Community and was co-owner, along with his brother, of Chapel Hill Farm Center. He was a member of the Chapel Hill Lions Club, a member of the Board of Directors of the former First State Bank in Chapel Hill, Voice of the Chapel Hill Rockets for over 20 years and guitarist for the Hung Jury Band. He was a huge fan and supporter of both UT and Forrest Rockets athletics.
Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jewel Ann Copeland, Chapel Hill, TN; children, Tara (Lyn) Stacey, Farmington Comm., Tanner Copeland, Chapel Hill, TN; brother, Bobby (Judy) Copeland, Caney Spring Comm.; grandchildren, Tilden Copeland, Lane Stacey, Mary Grace Stacey, Colt Stacey.
Graveside services for all who wish to attend will be conducted on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 11:00 am at Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill with Lyn Stacey officiating. Burial will immediately follow.
Tanner Copeland, Tilden Copeland, Lane Stacey, Colt Stacey, Lyn Stacey, Bobby Copeland and Phillip Copeland will serve as pallbearers.
