Tom Ghee

Mr. Thomas Clifton “Tom” Ghee, Sr., age 79, of College Grove, Tennessee, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 in Franklin, Tennessee.  Mr. Ghee was born in Rutherford County and was a son of the late Edd Ghee and Julia Lee Morris Ghee Arnold.  He served his country in the United States Army.  Mr. Ghee retired after 45 years as the plant manager of General Smelting Inc. of College Grove.  He also was formerly employed with the State of Tennessee, working at the Tennessee Preparatory School in Nashville.  Mr. Ghee was a Past Master and member of Owen Hill Masonic Lodge # 172, a member of Bethesda Masonic Lodge # 201 and was an honorary member of Chapel Hill Masonic Lodge # 160.  In addition he was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Al Menah Shrine Temple.  Mr. Ghee was a member of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Ghee is survived by his wife, Patricia Frost Ghee, College Grove, TN; children, Thomas Clifton “Cliff” Ghee, Jr., College Grove, TN, Leonard Patrick Ghee, College Grove, TN, Teresa Ghee Robinson, Eagleville, TN, Kathy Ghee Thompson, Lewisburg, TN; sister, Flora Grasman, Greendale, Wisconsin; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 21, 2015 with Masonic services being conducted at 7:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2015 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Pierce and Rev. Chris Eaves officiating.  Burial, with military honors, will follow at Triune Cemetery, Triune, Tennessee.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
