Mr. V. Dean Felder, age 84, of the Rover Community of Bedford County, died Friday evening, December 9, 2016 in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Felder was born in Denham Springs, Louisiana and was a son of the late Effie Grace Miller Felder and Jeff Reid Felder, Sr. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was a retired homebuilder and contractor. He loved gardening and had been certified by the University of Tennessee as a Master Gardener. Mr. Felder was a Deacon and member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church near Rockvale. In addition to his parents, Mr. Felder was preceded in death by brothers, Jeff Felder, Jr., Marvin Felder, Farrell Felder; sisters, Aldena Allen and Gloria Bennett.
Mr. Felder is survived by his wife, Betty Wells Felder, Rover Comm.; daughters, Allyson (Jeff) Cleveland, Shawnee, OK, Ginger, (John) Salassi, Livingston, LA, Erin (Drake) Earnest, Murfreesboro, TN, Dusty Brown, Rover Comm.; former son-in-law, Phillip Brown, Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Nell Rogers, Denham Spring, LA; grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) Aranyosi, Haley (Joshua) Michael, Jake (Erica) Cleveland, Skylar and Gunnar Earnest, Josh Cleveland, Sydney Salassi, Miles and Lola Brown; great grandchildren, Lillian Grace Michael, Asher Fox Aranyosi; several nieces and nephews.
Family members will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 11:30 am until 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 8151 Haunt Hollow Road, Rockvale, TN. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Church with Rev. Bobby Maxwell and Jake Cleveland officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Cothran Cemetery in the Rover Community.
Ray Blankenship, Phillip Brown, Sherman Hill, John Salassi, Matt Aranyosi and Drake Earnest will serve as pallbearers.
