Virginia Gassaway

Mrs. Virginia Gassaway, age 76, of the Haskins Chapel Community died Sunday, May 5, 2013 in Lewisburg, TN. Mrs. Gassaway was born in Bedford County, TN and was a daughter of the late Will and Ruby Dunn Cook.  Mrs. Gassaway was a member of Emmanuel Church of Christ.  She was retired from Lewisburg Tribune.

Mrs. Gassaway is survived by her sons, Marty Gassaway of Lewisburg, TN, and Mitchell Gassaway of Shelbyville, TN; 3 grandchildren, Misty Townsend, Matt Gassaway, and Mason Gassaway; Great Grandchild, Jake Townsend; brother, Eldridge Cook of Chapel Hill, TN.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Ronnie Adams officiating. Interment to follow in Wheel Cemetery in Bedford County.

Keith Pollock, Anthony Sanders, Jerry Knois, Rod Yell, Timmy Canady, Charlie Haskins, and Charles Haskins will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
