Walter R. McGee

Walter R. McGee, age 83 of Franklin, TN passed away May 10, 2024 with his loving and devoted wife Janice by his side. Walter was born in Williamson County to the late Richard and Hazel Edgmon McGee. In his career as a Master Carpenter, he took pride in making sure the quality of his work was exceptional. Walter was a 3^rd degree Mason of Bethesda Lodge 201.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Janice White McGee; brother, Gerald McGee; several loving nieces and nephews and his niece and caregiver, Kay McCoy.  He is preceded in death by his daughter, Christy Vernon and brothers, Jimmy and Ralph McGee.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home, Brother Earl Davis officiating. Visitation with the McGee family will be held 4 PM-8 PM Monday and one hour prior to the service. A private burial will be held at a later date in Williamson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cowles Chapel Methodist Church. Dee Richardson, Howard “Sluggo” Hood, Lonny Hazelwood, Derrick McCullom, Larry Giles, Rob Smith, Tim Marlin and Roy White will serve as honorary pallbearers.
