William Boyce

Mr. William F. Boyce, age 83, died Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at his home near Eagleville, TN.  Mr. Boyce was born in Rutherford County and was a son of the late James Wilburn “Jim” and Bessie Holmes White Boyce.  He was a life long farmer and a member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyce was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Poe.

Mr. Boyce is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bobbie Jean Ralston Boyce, Eagleville, TN; children, Kenneth William Boyce, Eagleville, TN, James Robert “Bobby” (Mary) Boyce, Eagleville, TN, Kerry White (Marlene) Boyce, Rockvale, TN, Patricia Ann (Carl) Sullivan, Rockvale, TN; sister, Josephine Hargrove, Smyrna, TN; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Family members will receive friends on Friday, August 2, 2013 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Gilbert, Rev. Rebecca Salsbury, and Rev. Judy Sides officiating.  Burial will follow in Simpson Cemetery.

Kevin Boyce, Jeremy Boyce, Dustin Anderson, Ben McDougal, Daniel Robinson, Greg Pennington, David Turner and Horace Jackson will serve as active pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be George Ralston, Sam Ralston, Buddy Taylor, Robert Jones, Thomas Carroll Blanton, Ricky Blanton, Charles Ivy Burns, Thomas F. Jackson, Johnny Taylor, Ray Purcell and John Thomas Pattillo.
