Mr. Bill Barnes, age 68, of Eagleville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Barnes was born in Davidson County and was a son of the late James Hazel and Jennie Mae Kelley Barnes. He was a graduate of the Class of 1965 from East High School, Nashville, TN. In 1972, he graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, TN. Mr. Barnes worked his entire life in retail men’s clothing sales at several locations across the United States. After retirement, he returned to Eagleville where he enjoyed living on the family farm raising his cattle and donkeys. He also worked part-time at Speedway convenience store located on Hwy.99 in Murfreesboro, TN. He will always be remembered as a very friendly and good-hearted person.
Mr. Barnes is survived by two brothers, Harry E. Barnes, Brentwood, TN and Fred E. Barnes, Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and a great nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James H. Barnes, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Barnes will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home in Chapel Hill.
