Mr. William “Bill” Tutt, Sr. , age 77, of Chapel Hill, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus after a relatively short illness. Born in Nashville, TN, Bill was a son of the late Giles Ray Tutt and Charlene Kennedy. Mr. Tutt was a long time member of the Teamsters Union, Local #480, a member of Farmington Baptist Church and retired from McLean Trucking as a dock worker.
Survived by the love of his life, Sandi Tutt of Chapel Hill; a daughter, Jennifer (Troy) Crutcher of Spring Hill, TN; 5 sons, William (Vicky) Tutt, Jr. of Chapel Hill, Steven “Doug” Tutt, Sr. of Chapel Hill, Giles Ray Tutt of Murfreesboro, Ronnie Tutt of Nashville, Donnie Tutt of Murfreesboro; 2 sisters, Dot Ladd of Nashville and Mildred (Tommy) Parris of Hermitage; 8 grandchildren, Stacey (Steven Serrett) Brown, Heather (Richard) Swaw, Steven “D.J.” (Kayla) Tutt, Jr.
Amber C. (Ralph) Harris, Brylee Crutcher, Jeremy (Niczo) Tutt, Caleb Tutt and Christy Travis; 10 Great grandchildren, Gunnar Brown, Katy Brown, Addy Mae Swaw, Dylan Tutt, Alexis Love, Slayde Tutt, Westyn Serrett, Lexi Serret, Candace Swaw and Lee Crocker; Special family member, Leanne Kelley. Also survived by his furry friends, Tazz and Anjil.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 4pm – 8pm. at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1pm, Wednesday, July 26, 2017. Burial will follow at Swanson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Troy Crutcher, Steven Serrett, Richard Swaw, Bill Phifer, R.J. Scheck and James Kelley; Honorary Pallbearers are Sgt. Jim Hickman, Ralph Harris, Jim Fox, the congregation of Farmington Baptist Church and past and present members of Teamsters Union Local #480.
