William Underwood

Mr. William Vernell Underwood, age 75, of Eagleville, TN, died Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Born in Rutherford Co., Mr. Underwood was a son of the late William Clay Underwood and Louise  Morris Underwood. He was self-employed as a carpenter and licensed contractor. He was a member of the Calvary Apostolic Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Dorothy Mae Underwood, Nancy Jones, Brenda Walls and Linda Walls; 2 brothers, Ansel Gene Underwood and Larry Underwood.

Survived by his wife of 31 ½ years, Fay Underwood of Eagleville; 3 daughters, Melissa (Mike) Hollingshead of Smyrna, Connie (Tim) Johnson and Crystal Sizemore of Murfreesboro; 3 sons, William A. (Kim) Underwood of Eagleville, Vernell “Tony” (Wendy) Underwood of Eagleville; Billy (Tonya) Maynard of Murfreesboro; a brother, Bobby (Barbara) Underwood of Bell Buckle; a sister, Kathy Russell of Murfreesboro; 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, 2020, from 4PM – 8PM at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1PM, Friday, December 4, 2020 from the chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Hollingshead officiating.  Burial will follow at the Rocky Glade Cemetery.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the family requests visitors to please wear a mask if possible.
