William "Bill" Smotherman

Mr. William “Bill” Smotherman, age 58, formerly of the Cedar Grove Community of Bedford County, died Friday, November 25, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Bill was born in Detroit, Michigan and was a son of the late Marvin William and Shirley Madeline McKay Smotherman. He was a member of Cedar Grove Church and was a former employee of Shoney’s, Inc. in Shelbyville and Goodwill Industries in Tullahoma, Tennessee.

Mr. Smotherman is survived by his sisters, Sharon Smotherman, Cedar Grove Comm. and Kendra Smotherman, Townsend, TN; special caregiver, Angelia Blakley, Nashville, TN; several cousins and a very special Church family.

Family members will receive friends on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Cedar Grove Church, 451 Manier Road, Chapel Hill, TN from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at the Church at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Danny Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
