William Thomas "Tommy" Cather, Sr.

Mr. William Thomas “Tommy” Cather, Sr., age 65, of Chapel Hill, TN, died on Saturday, January 25, 2020 in Franklin, TN.  He was born in Williamson County, TN and was a son of the late Robert Dale Cather, Sr. and Annie Lorene Pewitt Cather.  Tommy was a member of the Church of Christ.  He was the owner and operator of C & C Heating and Cooling in Franklin, TN for many years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his honorary parents, William L. and Dorothy Neal.

Tommy is survived by his wife of  47 years, Patsy Cather of Chapel Hill, TN; son, William Thomas “Tom” (Leslie) Cather, Jr. of Bon Aqua, TN; brother, Dale (Sheila) Cather, Jr. of Franklin, TN; 3 grandchildren, Jade Dodd, Celia Dodd, Elizabeth (Gavin) Ingram; 1 great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 11 AM until 1 PM at Lawrence Funeral Home.  A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, January 28, 2019 at 1 PM at Swanson Cemetery.  Interment will follow in Swanson Cemetery.

Gavin Ingram, Jake Neal, Brandon Sweeney, William Adkins, Joe Johnson, and Stephen Brewer will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be all of the previous employees of C & C Heating and Cooling Company.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
